About the event
Fire of the Heart: A Full Moon Plant Medicine Retreat
Gather among the ancient redwoods of Santa Cruz for a two-day journey into the fire of the heart. Taking place at the threshold of the February Full Moon, this retreat invites us to reconnect with our vital force, awaken our inner courage, and bring greater clarity to the way we express our deepest truth.
The Full Moon represents the culmination of a lunar cycle, a moment when what has been developing beneath the surface becomes illuminated. In the Andean cosmological understanding, this movement toward greater visibility can be understood as an invitation to bring consciousness into relationship with our actions, our relationships, and the way we participate in the living world.
This is a journey of embodiment.
Through plant medicine, ceremony, meditation, and connection with nature, we explore the relationship between inner fire and conscious action. We turn toward the parts of ourselves that have been waiting to be expressed, reclaim the energy that has been scattered, and reconnect with the intelligence of the heart.
Why the Full Moon?
The Full Moon marks the peak of the lunar cycle, when illumination reaches its maximum. It is a natural symbol of culmination, visibility, and integration.
Awakening the Inner Fire:
Fire represents transformation, vitality, and the force that moves life forward. This retreat invites us to recognize the fire within, not as aggression or force, but as the living energy that gives us courage to act, create, and participate fully in our lives.
Bringing the Hidden Into the Light:
The Full Moon illuminates what has been developing through the previous weeks. What has been unconscious can become visible; what has been uncertain can become clearer. This creates an opportunity to meet ourselves with honesty and awareness.
From Intention to Embodiment:
A spiritual insight becomes meaningful when it enters our actions. The purpose of this journey is not simply to receive an experience, but to understand how that experience can be integrated into the way we live, relate, create, and serve.
The Wisdom of the Heart
In Andean cosmology, the human being exists within a living web of relationship. Our personal transformation is not isolated from the Earth, our community, or the larger forces of nature. To awaken our own energy is also to become more conscious of how that energy moves through relationship.
The redwoods offer a powerful reflection of this principle. Each tree stands as an individual expression of life while remaining connected through an immense living network beneath the forest floor.
In the same way, we are invited to discover the difference between living from separation and living from connection.
This retreat is a space to reclaim your vitality, clarify what truly matters, and reconnect with the intelligence of the heart.
As the Full Moon reaches its culmination, we gather around the inner fire, not to become someone else, but to remember the force already alive within us.
When the heart becomes clear, life begins to move with greater purpose.
