June's Energy

As we move into June, you can feel a subtle but very important shift taking place. The first half of the year has brought many of us face-to-face with questions we may have been postponing for a long time. Questions about where our energy is going, what truly matters, who we are becoming, and whether the path you are walking is actually aligned with your deepest truth.
Across multiple traditions, whether you look through the lens of astrology, the Mayan calendar, Human Design, Vedic Astrology, or the wisdom of the Andes, a common knowing is starting to be seen by most. June is not asking us to do more. It is asking us to see more clearly.
When the Solstice gets here (and the energy reaches its highest expression), everything will be given yet another chance for resolution. Old patterns, unfinished emotions, misplaced responsibilities, relationships that no longer fit, dreams that belong to someone else, and most importantly, the places where we have been giving our energy away without realizing it. In the Andean tradition, we say this is a time to separate Hucha from Sami, to discern what nourishes life and what depletes it. The Christian Bible calls this the separation of the goats from the sheep; however, this is not through judgment, but through awareness.
Many people are feeling called in different directions right now. New opportunities are appearing. New possibilities are emerging. Yet this month does not feel like a time for rushing forward. It feels more like standing at a sacred Fork in the road. A moment to reflect on what has been and what is trying to be born within you. A space to listen more deeply before acting. Another opportunity to remember that every thought, every commitment, every relationship, and every choice is feeding your future.
For us at Pachamama, June is inviting us to return to our center. To Zen. To reclaim scattered energy. To simplify. To strengthen our connection to what is real. To ask ourselves not what we can achieve, but what we are truly here to serve. As the Sun illuminates the world around us, may it also illuminate the landscape within us. May we have the courage to see clearly, the wisdom to choose consciously, and the discipline to nourish the future that is most aligned with our soul's path.
The question is: What do we actually do with all of this?
June is revealing where our energy has been trapped, then the work is not simply to understand it intellectually. Awareness is only the first step. Then, Transformation happens when awareness is paired with action, structure, and community.
This is one of the reasons we place so much emphasis on ceremonies, retreats, and long-term paths of integration. A single insight can change a day. A single ceremony can change a season. But a committed path can change your life.
For some people, June may be a time to sit with the teachings, deepen their daily practice, and reconnect with the wisdom already present within them. For others, it may be a call to step into a more immersive experience. To leave behind the noise of everyday life and enter an inner space where the distractions become silence and the voice of the heart becomes easier to hear.
Throughout the coming months, we will be gathering in sacred Medicine Retreats across California and Mexico, working with ceremony, Despacho, community, integration, and the ancestral teachings of the Andes. Each retreat becomes an opportunity to examine what is no longer aligned, reconnect with purpose, and strengthen the relationship between Spirit, Pachamama, and our everyday lives. These experiences are NOT designed to help you escape reality. They are designed to help you return to it with greater clarity, integrity, and presence. As we often say, the goal is not to collect spiritual experiences. The goal is to return to your essence, which is the you who can embody the wisdom those experiences give you.
For those who feel called to go even deeper, our Hampeq Training continues to serve as a path of initiation into service, stewardship, and personal responsibility. It is a path for those who recognize that healing is not merely something we receive, but something we learn to carry, cultivate, and eventually offer to others through the integrity of our own lives.
Whether your next step is a ceremony, a retreat, a pilgrimage, our Integration Membership, or simply a renewed commitment to your daily practice, June invites us all into the same question:
What future am I nourishing with my energy today?
The answer to that question may shape far more than the rest of this month. It may shape the rest of your year.
