Urana Kawsay - Moving swiftly

Last night (May 18, 2025), as I sat on my home´s porch, overlooking Apu Popocatepetl, sipping on a warm coca tea, I reflected on these ongoing times and the movement of time itself. I’ve always felt a connection to the stars, seeing them as guides like my ancestors did. Ancestral cosmologies teach us to live in harmony with nature and community, and astrology (Urana Kawsay) complements this wisdom. The current celestial influences, Saturn’s entry into Aries, the Venus-Mars trine, and Pluto’s retrograde, spoke to me about setting goals, being creative, and reflecting on my growth.

Saturn’s Entry into Aries: Planning submerged in Patience
Saturn moves into Aries on May 24, a sign of action but also a call for discipline. In Andean culture, we respect the land’s cycles, working steadily like farmers tending crops. This feels like Saturn’s lesson: build for the long term, but don’t rush. For example, we started sacredceremonies.org, but we are starting all the ceremonies and events with deep planning between all the parties, directing both Pachamama and Sacredceremonies with ease and a gentle guiding. Planning our steps is the masculine within us, guiding us to create a pathway to learn through. Too much spontaneity can subjectively immerse you in a sea of directionless aim. Taken by the waves without purpose. Saturn's planning is balancing the feminine pull of surrender into flow. Saturn is teaching you a higher order of flow, a consciously directed flow Saturn represents Structure, Challenges, Karma, Authority, & Duty
Aries represents Leadership, Independence, Drive, Impulsiveness, & Vitality
Venus-Mars Trine: Express creatively
On Wednesday, May 21, the Venus-Mars trine brings a surge of consciousness energy, like waking up after a long, restful, and much-deserved sleep. Venus teaches about beauty, not to be confused with vanity or self-infatuation... Mars teaches about drive, and together they inspire bold creativity. For example, you can shine on your own for your purpose. Here we have an opportunity to see how we, at times, self-sabotage our purpose. The teaching here is to take a look at Saturn's energy, propelling your drive, and see in which ways you allow (or disallow) your unique spark to shine as bright as it can.

Pluto’s Retrograde: Time to reflect
Pluto’s retrograde in Aquarius, has been active since May 4, and it feels like a time to look inward. In the Qhapaq Nan (Andean spiritual path), we honor the earth’s hidden forces, like seeds growing underground. Pluto’s energy is similar, asking us to reflect on how we've changed and how we are changing day by day. How are you evolving your relationships with men and women? How are you evolving your relationship with Value & Worth? How are you evolving your relationship with Love and Intelligence How are you evolving your relationship with Medicine and your soul's evolution?
